Job summary

Kaeser Compressors is seeking a System Design Engineer for our Fredericksburg, VA location. The role involves designing compressed air systems, performing energy analyses, and creating P&I diagrams, CAD layouts, and electrical diagrams to meet customer specifications.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Engineering with strong fluids/thermodynamics background, plus proficiency in G-Suite and CAD. This is a salary position with competitive benefits and long-term growth potential within the team.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or comparable degree, with strong background in fluids and thermodynamics (required).
• Proficiency in G-Suite and 3D Modeling / CAD experience (preferred).
• Ability to proficiently write and/or edit technical documents.
• General technical and business experience to include data analysis and project management skills.
• Goal-oriented focus, with motivation to grow long-term within the team.

Responsibilities

• Generating compressed air energy audits based on field-submitted data.
• Designing compressor stations to meet customers’ specifications, including energy analyses and creating P&I diagrams, CAD layouts, and electrical diagrams.
• Designing new products and developing/modifying existing Kaeser products based on market needs and customer requirements.
