Job summary

Kaeser Compressors, Inc. is seeking a Mid- to High-Level Mechanic (Mechanic II-III) for its Fredericksburg, VA team. The role involves installing air compressors, dryers, controllers, and associated electrical components in a production environment.

Typical hours are 7:00am–4:00pm, Monday–Friday, with heated/AC work areas and company-provided tools, uniforms, and safety shoe allowance. Compensation is hourly, $24–$30, with a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Basic mechanical skills and aptitude are essential.
• Welding, metal cutting and painting skills are preferred.
• Reading mechanical/electrical drawings is expected.
• Basic electrical knowledge and circuits understanding helpful.
• Forklift experience preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with rigging and overhead cranes is a plus.
• Good communication and basic computer skills are necessary.
• Regular attendance at the worksite is required.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team environment on maintenance projects.
• Install air compressors, air dryers and controllers.
• Install electrical components and wiring such as switches, panels and disconnects.
• Cut and install aluminum pipe, steel, and Unistrut channels.
• Insulate and install duct work; cut and bend wires.
• Ensure safety and quality while maintaining equipment.
