GENERAL PURPOSE:\u00a0\u00a0
The Benefits System Coordinator\u00a0is responsible for\u00a0organizing and managing client benefits within the benefit administration system. Understanding group benefits programs (group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance,\u00a0travel\u00a0and accident plans, etc.).\u00a0\u00a0
This position provides excellent customer service and requires outstanding communication skills. The coordinator will continually update and audit the benefit administration system including adding new benefit plans, removing\u00a0unused plans,\u00a0assisting\u00a0with eligibility uploads, reviewing\u00a0discrepancy\u00a0reports\u00a0and\u00a0monitoring\u00a0the overall benefits administration system.\u00a0

- Understands client benefits plans and vendors to understand the plans and administration of each policy.\u00a0\u00a0
- Obtains knowledge of industry trends. Analyze complex\u00a0benefits\u00a0information.\u00a0\u00a0Be a resource for the team to share this information.\u00a0
- Audits system\u00a0to ensure client enrollments are\u00a0accurate.\u00a0
- Serves as a primary system contact for clients and benefit system\u00a0vendor.\u00a0\u00a0
- Coordinates transfer of data to external contacts for services, premiums and plan administration.\u00a0\u2009
- Coordinates daily\u00a0benefits\u00a0processing including carrier file feeds. Understand other enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability,\u00a0accident\u00a0and death claims.\u00a0\u2009
- Oversees\u00a0group benefits database.\u00a0
- Audits the accuracy and performance of\u00a0benefit\u00a0administration system.\u00a0\u00a0
- Provides customer service support to internal and external clients. Develop communication tools to enhance understanding of benefits packages.\u00a0\u00a0
- Evaluates and\u00a0revises\u00a0internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency.\u00a0\u00a0
- Documents and\u00a0maintains\u00a0administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes.\u2009\u00a0
- Ensures\u00a0compliance with applicable government regulations.\u2009\u00a0

Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:\u00a0
Knowledge,\u00a0Skills\u00a0and Ability\u00a0
- Computer\u00a0proficiency\u00a0and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, including PowerPoint and Excel; experience with HRIS and benefits databases.\u00a0
- Project and team management\/leadership skills and experience.\u00a0\u00a0
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with associates.\u00a0\u00a0
- Effective planning and priority\u00a0setting.\u00a0Ability\u00a0\u00a0to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.\u00a0
- Strong analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of plan designs.\u00a0
- Knowledge of\u00a0benefits\u00a0contract language.\u00a0
- Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements, both adopted and pending, affecting employee benefits programs, including the ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, Medicare, COBRA, and Social Security and DOL requirements.\u00a0
- Excellent communication and\u00a0organization\u00a0skills.\u00a0
Education or Experience
- Requires possession and maintenance of a Life and Health license\u00a0
- Must have a\u2009current driver’s\u2009license and\u2009an\u2009insurable driving record.\u2009\u200a
- Experience with Employee Navigator or another Benefits Administration system is preferred.\u00a0
- Bachelor's\u00a0degree is preferred.\u00a0
- Previous\u00a0insurance experience is preferred.\u00a0\u2009
