Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
• Three years of nursing experience in medical/surgical and/or critical care.
• Maryland licensure as a nurse or eligibility.
• BLS/ACLS certification required.
• Two years of bed coordination and patient throughput experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate system-wide bed and services placement to support patient throughput.
• Collaborate with Access Center Physicians and coordinators to triage admissions.
• Maintain awareness of unit nursing capabilities for appropriate patient placement.
• Coordinate transfers and repatriation to optimize bed flow.
• Escalate throughput issues to leadership when needed.
• Maintain knowledge of system throughput parameters and census data.
