iWorld Professionals is seeking a System Architect – Quality & Compliance Focus

Location: Remote with some possible travel (10-15%)

Type: Full-time, Long-Term Engagement

iWorld Professionals is partnering with a leading aerospace and defense client to identify a System Architect with expertise in quality and compliance frameworks. This is a long-term, full-time opportunity with strong growth potential and the chance to contribute to impactful, mission-critical projects.

System Architect Responsibilities:

• Serve as the quality compliance subject matter expert in support of aerospace, defense, and manufacturing systems.
• Lead or co-lead workshops to gather and document business requirements related to quality standards and processes.
• Provide architecture and process insights on APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, and related quality systems.
• Support design and compliance documentation aligned with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, or similar frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support change management, document control, and non-conformance processes.
• Engage in problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives within evolving project requirements.

System Architect Qualifications:

• US Citizenship highly preferred (some projects may require it); US Person required.
• Strong working knowledge of IATF 16949 (automotive quality standard) – internal audit experience a plus.
• Familiarity with core quality processes such as APQP, FMEA, 8D, Control Plans.
• Prior exposure to aerospace, defense, or regulatedmanufacturing environments.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple streams of input simultaneously.
• Experience working with or around quality compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 9001, SAE, AS9100).
• Comfort leading workshops, capturing business needs, and documenting actionable outcomes.
• Hands-on experience with Teamcenter, especially Quality or Change/Document Management modules desireable
• Familiarity with quality-related tools and methods such as CPIP, AM (Additive Manufacturing)
• Ability to navigate technical documentation or regulatory requirements with minimal oversight
• Comfortable reading and interpreting quality standards and applying them to business processes.
• Creative problem-solver with a process-oriented mindset.
• Work on cutting-edge projects in aerospace and advanced manufacturing
