Hawaiian Electric Company is seeking a System Arborist - Oahu to lead vegetation management programs across roadside, transmission, and customer service areas. The role requires 5–7 years in utility VM and strong leadership, analytical, and field inspection skills, with willingness to travel and operate in helicopters.

The position reports to the VM program management group and offers a structured career path. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and ISA certifications are preferred.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in urban forestry, horticulture, arboriculture, or related field.
• ISA Certified Arborist; stay current on arboricultural industry changes.
• ISA Utility Specialist Certification preferred.
• Good working knowledge of vegetation management crew structures, tools, and techniques.
• Understanding of electric utility transmission and distribution operations and vegetation management.
• Experience with data analysis and reporting for contract management.
• Willingness to hike in rough terrain and to be transported by helicopter.
