Job summary

FLASH Technology Group is seeking a System Administrator 2 for overnight shifts in Maryland. Must have TS/SCI with active polygraph and be able to support remote operations from Wed-Sun or Sun-Thu hours.

Responsibilities include server maintenance, patching, health checks, escalation support, and security compliance. Candidates should have IAT Level 1 certification, hardware experience, and remote desktop skills.

Qualifications

• IAT Level 1 certification is required.
• Experience with hardware, remote assistance, and remote desktop support.
• 15 years with HS/GED or 10 years with a BS qualifies seniority.

Responsibilities

• System administration and maintenance.
• Monitor and maintain servers, OS, and key apps.
• Apply patches and changes per change control.
• Perform health checks, capacity planning, and tuning.
• Support escalated issues from help desk.
• Diagnose application and network problems.
• Assist with user accounts and access controls.
• Install, configure, and deploy system tools.
• Assist upgrades, migrations, and integrations.
• Document configurations and standards.
• Ensure security best practices and policies are followed.
• Support security controls, audits, and risk actions.
• Respond to alerts and outages with root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate on IT projects and process improvements.

System Administrator 2 needed!

Group: Remote Operations, Tier II

Must have TS/SCI with active polygraph.

Hours: WED-SUN, 10pm- 6am (training M-F 6am-2pm) OR Sunday - Thursday, 10pm - 6am, day training.

• System Administration and Maintenance
• Monitor, manage and maintain servers, operating systems, and key applications
• Apply patches, updates, and configuration changes to systems in accordance with change management procedures
• Perform system health checks, capacity planning, and performance tuining.
• Provide advanced technical support for escalated issues from help desk / Tier I team.
• Diagnose and resulve application, and network related provlems.
• Assist with user account managemnent, permissions and access contrals.
• Install, configure and deploy new system applications and tools.
• Assist in system upgrades, migrations and integrations.
• Document system configurations procedures, and standards.
• Ensure systems adhere to security best practices and organizational policies.
• Help implement and monitor security controls such as antivirus, endpoint protection, firewalls and access managenet.
• Participate in audits risk assessments and remediation activities..
• Use monitoring tools to reach system performance, availiability and capactiey.
• Respond to alerts, incidents and outages, performing root cause analysts and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with IT teams on cross-functional initiatives and preojects.
• Contribute to the developmen t and refinement of IT processes, standards and documentation.
• Provide input on technology selections and system architecture improvements.

Approximate salary range: $94,000-$111,000

A variety of factors impact the final salary offered, including, but not limited to, geographic location, contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant work experience, specialized skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
