Job summary

Garden Life Development is seeking a System Administrator for a full-time temporary (W-2) assignment in the United States. You will manage Windows Server and Linux environments, perform backups, security hardening, and capacity planning while maintaining system documentation.

The role requires AD/Entra ID administration, scripting in PowerShell or Bash, and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Hybrid/remote options may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience supporting Windows Server and/or Linux environments.
• Degrees and certifications are verified before placement.

Responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot Windows Server and/or Linux environments
• Perform server backups, restores, and security hardening
• Tune performance and support capacity planning
• Review system logs to spot potential issues before outages
• Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions in Active Directory / Entra ID
• Apply patches and updates on a regular schedule
• Migrate and integrate new technologies into existing environments
• Automate routine tasks and keep system documentation current
