Job summary

You will work with IT staff to support faculty, staff, and students, perform security audits, maintain Active Directory, and assist with Linux-based requests and scripting (PowerShell, Python).

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of systems administration experience in a large Windows environment including Active Directory and Windows services.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking and remote deployment.
• Experience with scripting langs like PowerShell or Python and basic Linux command line skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end Windows and Apple desktop support for routine requests (software installs, security settings, hardware replacement).
• Manage Windows servers and AD users, and support automated provisioning for hundreds of desktops.
• Support core IT services (printing, quota management, security audits, documentation).
• Assist users locally and remotely with Linux-based requests (quota increases, password resets, OS installation).
• Coordinate with Tufts Technology Services on governance, standards, and security practices.
