Job summary

Resource Management Concepts, Inc. (RMC) seeks a System Administrator to provide on-site IT support at the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) in Crane, Indiana.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting Windows workstations, system hardening, and DoD-compliant IT operations for mission-critical environments. The candidate will manage Active Directory, patching, vulnerability remediation, and ServiceNow tickets, while following Security STIGs and IA compliance activities.

Qualifications

• Three or more years IT experience.
• Experience supporting and troubleshooting Windows workstations.
• Experience with patch management, vulnerability remediation, and DoD system-hardening requirements.
• Active Security+, SecurityX/CASP+, CISSP, or equivalent DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II or III certification.
• Ability to work independently in a technical laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot Windows workstation hardware, software, and OS issues.
• Support system integration, workstation lifecycle, and software installation/removal.
• Administer Active Directory and Windows-based environments.
• Manage ServiceNow tickets, service requests, and documentation.
• Perform patch management and vulnerability remediation per DoD requirements.

RMC is seeking a System Administrator to provide IT support for our customer 100% on-site at the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) in Crane, Indiana.

The selected candidate will support RDT&E and SRDT&E networks and connected or standalone laboratory environments. This role requires an independent, customer-focused professional who can troubleshoot issues, maintain secure systems, and support mission-critical IT operations.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot Windows workstation hardware, software, and operating system issues
• Support system integration, workstation lifecycle, and specialized software installation, maintenance, and removal
• Administer Active Directory and support Windows-based environments
li>Manage ServiceNow (SNOW) tickets, service requests, and technical documentation
• Perform patch management, vulnerability remediation, and system hardening in accordance with DoD requirements
• Apply Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and develop required compliance artifacts
• Maintain hardware and software inventory records and support Information Assurance compliance activities
• Create and maintain system, network, and configuration documentation
• Research commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and open-source software solutions
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Three or more years of IT experience
• Experience supporting and troubleshooting Windows workstations
• Experience with patch management, vulnerability remediation, and DoD system-hardening requirements
• Active Security+, SecurityX/CASP+, CISSP, or equivalent DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II or III certification
• Ability to work independently in a technical laboratory environment

Security Clearance

• An interim DoD Secret clearance or higher is required to start. The selected candidate must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

• Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $75,000 to $90,000 (annually).
