Responsibilities

• Develop system design specifications and supporting documents.
• Prepare design documentation meeting system and security requirements.
• Define specifications for databases, networks, security, storage and software configurations.
• Create diagrams for databases, networks, storage, and security components.
• Configure and document systems including servers, databases, security, and networks.
• Develop system operation guides and installation procedures.
• Develop upgrade procedures for databases, hardware, OS, networks, and client-server systems.
• Design detailed system operations and support enterprise resiliency.
• Collaborate with managers, senior programmers and product managers for implementation.
• Create, test and maintain highly available enterprise environments.
• Design reports, logs, and security mechanisms.
• Assist tech support to resolve complex issues.
• Interact with customers to clarify feature intents or resolve problems.
• Perform testing and evaluation of applications and systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop system design specifications
• Develops and prepares documents for the general design of solutions that meet system and security requirements, including the selection of alternative approaches.
• Develops specifications for databases, communication systems, hardware, network, security, storage and software configurations.
• Develops structured diagrams for the specifications of databases, communication systems, computer or storage area networks, security or network programs.
• Develops, compiles, maintains and documents configurations of the following: databases, servers, computers, security and network monitor systems, packaged programs, macros, utilities, and communication systems.
• Develop system documentation
• Develop operational and installation procedures for communication systems, hardware, network, security, storage and software.
• Develop guidelines and upgrade techniques of new operational procedures for the support of databases, hardware systems, operating systems software, network systems software, security and client server systems.
• Develop detailed systems operations designs.
• Perform System Design
• Work with staff (e.g., managers, senior programmers, support staff, product manager) to plan application implementation, enhancements and changes
• Create, test and maintain highly available environments for enterprise systems resiliency
• Design reports, audit trails/logs, security mechanisms
• Provide assistance to technical support staff when they are unable to resolve a program, database, or IT issue by themselves
• Occasionally contact customers as may be needed to clarify the intent of a new feature or resolve a problem
• Perform Testing/Evaluation
• Tests applications and systems and integrates system modules.

Required Skills

A minimum of 4 years of experience with the following skill sets:

• Building and supporting highly available and scalable infrastructures (Linux server/containerized environments)
• Managing and maintaining UNIX systems
• Technical and user documentation.
• Designing 3-tiered infrastructure
