Job summary

Azusa Solutions seeks a System Administrator to support IT systems for NYC DSS/ITS. The role focuses on design, security, and high-performance infrastructure with on-site work near Brooklyn, NY. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and able to provide references.

The selected candidate will develop design specifications, security solutions, deployment designs, and documentation, while ensuring stability and reliability across DSS program areas.

Qualifications

• Server administration experience.
• Experience with security monitoring, SIEM, and log management.
• Knowledge of vulnerability management and risk/compliance.
• Anti-virus/malware and endpoint protection experience.
• DLP awareness.

Responsibilities

• Develop design specifications.
• Develop the design for the new proposed information security solutions
• Develop the Design for deployment of high-performance, low-latency technology solutions
• Provide Stability and resiliency in the infrastructure of the solutions
• Develop documentation and reporting
• Develop documentation of new information security solutions
• Participate in various reporting functions, metrics analysis
• Document various vulnerability remediation initiatives and suggest recommendations.

Job description

Azusa Solutions is seeking a System Administrator to join our team of talented consultants. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company comprised of highly qualified, highly impactful, and multi-talented individuals.

This position supports IT systems for the New York City Department of Social Services (DSS)/Information Technology Services (ITS). ITS serves all DSS program areas to fulfill their IT needs. To meet the business needs and ITS' workload, ITS is seeking qualified candidates in the areas of Database design, architecture, and development, including base definition, structure, documentation, long-range requirements, operational guidelines, and protection. Ensures accuracy and completeness of data in master files and various support tools, such as base dictionaries. Establishes and maintains security and integrity controls. Formulates and monitors policies, procedures and standards relating to database management. Proposes and implements enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of various systems that ITS supports across DSS program areas.

Eligibility

• *Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position at this time.
• *Candidates must live within commuting distance to the five Boroughs of New York City.
• *Candidates must be able to work on-site in or near the Brooklyn, NY area.
• *Candidates must be prepared to provide a minimum of 2 professional references and at least one within the last 24 months
