Job summary

Base-2 Solutions seeks a System Administrator Level 2 for the VISTA (SRE Team) to support IT systems and infrastructure. The role emphasizes Linux expertise, shell scripting, Cisco networking, NetApp configurations, and Kubernetes/containerized environments across client, server, storage, and network domains.

The position demands clear escalation, daily operation support, troubleshooting, and capacity planning, with extensive experience and a TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph clearance.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph.
• Strong Linux experience required.
• Proficiency in Linux shell commands and scripting required.
• Knowledge of Cisco network configurations, commands, and troubleshooting required.
• Knowledge of NetApp filer configurations, commands, and troubleshooting required.
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerization required.
• Ten (10) years of experience as a System Administrator in programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity required.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university required.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
• Manage daily configuration and operation of IT systems.
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
• Assist users in accessing and using IT systems.
• Support day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution across client, server, storage, network, and mobile devices.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
• Communicate status to agency management and internal customers.
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform capacity analysis and planning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve IT systems issues with in-depth technical feedback.
