Job summary

Base-2 Solutions seeks a System Administrator Level 2 to support the VISTA (SRE Team) by delivering implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance across client, server, storage, and network environments. Strong Linux experience and scripting are essential, with Cisco, NetApp, and Kubernetes expertise highly valued.

Responsibilities include day-to-day operations, incident response, escalation, and capacity planning, with detailed feedback provided to agency management and internal customers.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph required.
• Strong Linux experience required and Linux shell scripting proficiency.
• Knowledge of Cisco network configurations, commands, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of NetApp filer configurations, commands, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerization.
• Ten (10) years of System Administrator experience in programs/contracts of similar scope.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university required.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
• Manage daily configuration and operation of IT systems.
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
• Assist users in accessing and using IT systems.
• Support day-to-day IT operations, monitoring, and problem resolution across client/server/storage/network.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem escalation and resolution.
• Communicate status to agency management and internal customers as needed.
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization with capacity planning.
