Job summary

Avid Technology Professionals is seeking a hands-on Linux/DevOps professional in Laurel, MD to manage Linux estates, build image templates, and support security/compliance tooling. The role requires scripting, cloud and container basics, and experience with Terraform, Ansible, AWS, VMware, and CI/CD pipelines.

The ideal candidate will work closely with security teams, implement DISA STIGs, and maintain infrastructure using GitLab for CI/CD.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating and administering various Linux OS (RHEL9, Talos).
• Experience with building host image templates using automation tools (Terraform, Packer, SALT, Ansible, RHEL Satellite, Jumphost).
• Experience with Trellix Endpoint Security and Firewall, Nessus Security Center, UAM, rsyslog and auditd.
• Working knowledge of DISA STIGs, CVEs, and IAVAs for STE/STN compliance.
• Knowledge of PKI infrastructure and authentication/authorization processes.
• Knowledge of DNS/IP management.
• Understanding of VMware vSphere, vCenter and related services.
• Understanding of Amazon AWS EC2 and related services.
• Basic understanding of containerization concepts and operations (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Basic understanding of GitOps development and CI/CD (GitLab).
• Experience scripting with Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
