Job summary

Stellar IT Solutions LLC is seeking a senior System Administrator with 7+ years of experience to manage enterprise on-premises infrastructure and hybrid cloud environments. You will support Windows Server, Linux, AD, DNS/DHCP, storage, virtualization, and networking, while leveraging VMware and IaC tools to design and operate scalable systems.

Candidates should be proficient in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), scripting languages, and have strong documentation and vendor management skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in System/Admin/Infrastructure roles.
• Strong experience with on-premises Windows Server, Linux, AD, DNS, DHCP, storage, virtualization, networking.
• Hands-on VMware virtualization administration.
• Experience integrating on-prem and cloud environments.
• Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, GCP or equivalent).
• Understanding of cloud networking, security, recovery concepts.
• IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep, Ansible, Pulumi, or similar.
• Scripting in PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar.
• Network configuration & firewall management knowledge.
• Active Directory, domain controllers, and Group Policy experience.
• SonicWall and Palo Alto firewall administration.
• Storage solutions like Isilon, Vblock, VxRail, Data Domain, Avamar.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytics, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Experience managing vendors and delivering infrastructure initiatives.
• Proactive, self‑motivated with continuous learning.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a System Administrator, Infrastructure Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
• Strong expertise supporting enterprise on-premises infrastructure, including Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, storage, virtualization, and networking technologies.
• Hands‑on experience administering VMware virtualization technologies.
• Experience designing, implementing, and supporting hybrid environments that integrate on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
• Hands‑on experience with one or more cloud platforms including AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, or equivalent cloud technologies.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, identity management, security, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery concepts.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep, Ansible, Pulumi, or similar technologies.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar languages.
• Strong knowledge of network configuration and management, including firewall administration.
• Experience administering Active Directory, domain controllers, and Group Policy.
• Experience with SonicWall and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Knowledge of storage solutions including Isilon, Vblock, VxRail, Data Domain, and Avamar.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
• Experience supporting containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of ITIL best practices and documentation standards.

Experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as SolarWinds, Datadog, Splunk, or similar tools.
