M.C. Dean is seeking a System Administrator 2 for the Security and Electronic Systems unit. This on-site role focuses on physical security systems, CCTV, PSIM, and IT infrastructure maintenance at a government-related site.

Applicants should have a security-focused IT background, experience with RMF/NIST controls, and the ability to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends. A Top Secret clearance is required or eligibility.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Windows patching and vulnerability remediation.
  • Understanding of Active Directory hierarchy and implementation.
  • Familiarity with large-scale networking, VLANS and routing.

  • DoD security standards and RMF lifecycle familiarity.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, maintain, and test Physical Access Control, CCTV, PSIM, and ECIS.
  • Provide Tier 1 help desk and Tier 2 escalation support.
  • Analyze system performance and document incidents and changes.
  • Coordinate with customers, vendors, and technical staff for resolution.

We are seeking a System Administrator 2 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business Unit. As part of (SES) Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, it systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets. Responsibilities In this role you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining and testing of Physical Access Control, CCTV, PSIM and Integrated Electronic Systems. * This position is maintained at a single on-site work location.

  • Manage physical security system support to meet service level agreements.
  • Analyze physical security system performance and recommend improvements.
  • Resolve complex system issues for physical security systems and networks.
  • Triage customer support calls, providing Tier 1 help desk support and Tier 2 escalation.
  • Communicate with customers, manufacturers, vendors, and technical specialists.
  • Train system users and other system support personnel.
  • Analyze and modify preventive maintenance checklists for system changes.
  • Troubleshoot system performance issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform preventive maintenance actions including system back-ups, error log reviews, database size, and integrity checks.
  • Organize and prepare detailed documentation of system performance, including service request records and analysis.
  • Perform desktop hardware and operating system set-up, imaging software loading, and antivirus updates.
  • Perform all duties with minimal direct supervision. Qualifications Clearance/Citizen Type: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and may meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information; Active Top Secret clearance is required. Education: * 2+ Years of Experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Risk Management, Cybersecurity preferred
  • 6+ Years of Experience with an Associate's Degree in Information Technology, Risk Management, Cybersecurity preferred
  • 8+ Years of Experience with a High School Diploma
Required Progressive Experience: * Requires system administrator experience in performing triage on system problems, resolving the system. problems, analyzing system data to prevent problems, implementing new workstations, and system extensions.
  • Requires an understanding of Windows patching and vulnerability remediation.
  • Requires a basic knowledge of Windows active directory hierarchy and implementation.
  • Requires a basic knowledge of large scale networking, VLANS and routing.
  • Requires reliable attendance at customer site during work hours required by customer.
  • Requires the ability to work flexible shifts that include nights, weekends, holidays and on call as needed.
