Job summary

University Health is seeking a skilled Computer Systems Analyst to join our IT team. You will guide the design, implementation, and operation of enterprise systems that support financial, clinical, and administrative functions.

Ideal candidates bring a strong background in system analysis, programming, and data management, with experience coordinating multiple projects and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and security standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in computer science or a related field.
  • 6+ years of programming and system analysis experience.
  • Experience with healthcare/administrative IT environments.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (PeopleSoft, Premier, UKG Dimensions) preferred.
  • Proficiency with API integration and data reporting tools (Tableau, SQL).
  • Experience with document management systems (Hyland OnBase, SharePoint, Adobe).
  • Experience with databases (SQL Server, Oracle, Cache) and OS (Windows, UNIX, Cache).
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP and FTP/SFTP.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert technical guidance and support for development, deployment, and maintenance of computer systems across the organization.
  • Lead and manage complex projects related to system upgrades, integrations, and new deployments within scope and budget.
  • Analyze user requirements and translate them into technical specifications for enhancements.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure system interoperability and performance.
  • Develop, test, and troubleshoot applications and system components for reliability and security.
  • Maintain documentation on configurations, procedures, and project activities.
  • Monitor system performance, audit regularly, and implement improvements for efficiency and security.
  • Provide training and support to end-users and staff on systems and applications.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and data security standards.

About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Computer Systems Analyst to join our dynamic IT team at University Health. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise, project management, and guidance in the implementation and operation of complex computer systems used across financial, clinical, and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in system analysis, programming, and data management, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects efficiently while adhering to organizational policies and procedures. Your role will involve organizing and scheduling major system tasks, including programming, troubleshooting, and system optimization, to ensure seamless operations that support our healthcare delivery and administrative processes.



Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data processing, mathematics, clinical informatics, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

  • Minimum of six years of experience in programming and system analysis, demonstrating proficiency in at least one computer system language and data management methodologies.

  • Experience with multiple computer platforms and applications used within healthcare and administrative environments.

  • Knowledge of ERP systems such as PeopleSoft, Premier, or UKG Dimensions is preferred.

  • Proficiency in application development and integration tools including API, Dell Boomi, and report writing tools like Tableau and SQL.

  • Familiarity with document management systems such as Hyland Onbase, SharePoint, and Adobe products.

  • Hands‑on experience with databases like Microsoft SQL, Oracle, and Cache, along with operating systems including Windows, UNIX, and Cache.

  • Strong understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP and FTP/SFTP.

  • Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
