Job summary

Avalore.ai is seeking a System Administrator to own the daily operation, maintenance, and security of the War Data Platform infrastructure. You will perform hands‑on admin tasks, manage users, and implement monitoring and backup systems.

The role includes scripting for automation, on‑call rotations, and comprehensive documentation. The position requires security clearances at various levels, strong English communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• SECRET Security Clearance Required
• Certifications: Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ or SSCP for Junior/Journeyman
• Certifications: SecurityX/CASP+, CCNP Security, CCSP, FITSP‑O or GFACT for Senior
• We are actively seeking multiple levels: Junior (0-3 years + Bachelor's), Journeyman (4-7 years + Bachelor's), Senior (8+ years + Bachelor's)
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis; no visa sponsorship
• Native/Professional English required
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to communicate effectively and work independently
• Travel up to 10%

Job description

The System Administrator is responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, and security of the War Data Platform (WDP) infrastructure. This person will perform hands‑on system administration tasks, including managing user accounts, permissions, and system configurations in accordance with established operational policies. This person will implement and maintain system monitoring tools, configure and manage backup and recovery systems, and automate routine administrative tasks using scripting and automation tools. They will conduct regular system health checks, apply system updates and patches to mitigate vulnerabilities, and serve as a primary point of contact for troubleshooting hardware and software issues. The System Administrator will maintain system documentation, monitor system logs for performance and security anomalies, and participate in on‑call rotations to ensure 24/7 platform availability.

Requirements

• SECRET Security Clearance Required
• Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, or SSCP certfication (for Junior / Journeyman roles)
• SecurityX / CASP+, CCNP Security, CCSP, FITSP‑O, or GFACT certification (for Senior role)
