Job summary

The J. Craig Venter Institute (JCVI) in Rockville, MD is seeking a highly motivated Post-Doctoral Fellow to advance synthetic biology strategies for bacteriophage therapy targeting Klebsiella pneumoniae. Qualifications

• Ph.D. or M.D. in a relevant scientific discipline is required.
• Hands-on laboratory experience preferred, especially in independent projects.
• Strong background in microbiology, synthetic biology, or bacteriophage research desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research aligned with JCVI goals in the Fouts Lab.
• Design and execute experiments and/or scientific software; analyze results.
• Train and mentor junior staff and students; contribute to grant proposals.

Education

Ph.D. or M.D. in a relevant scientific discipline such as Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or Synthetic Biology
