Job summary

Restek Corporation in Bellefonte, PA is seeking a Scientist - Reference Standards to synthesize, purify, and develop reference materials for our Reference Standards Business Unit. You will work closely with Operations and cross‑functional teams, taking ownership of projects from day one.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field or equivalent experience.
Hands-on lab experience in synthesis and purification.
Ability to work with minimal direction from senior scientists.
Strong documentation habits and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Synthesize and purify materials using SOPs and develop purification procedures.
Develop and manufacture materials meeting quality standards and production demand.
Design and run process improvement experiments and analyze data.
Document experiments and write reports on design, results, and conclusions.
Serve as a technical resource for Operations Technicians and train others.
Participate in Job Safety Analysis and follow EH&S guidelines.
