Job summary

AtlasBase is a fast-growing company pioneering molecular computing solutions. We seek a Research Associate, Supervisor Synthesis Production to lead on-chip DNA synthesis operations, develop SOPs, and manage a small production team.

You will collaborate with scientists and engineers to optimize workflows, analyze QC data, and drive production efficiency while ensuring compliance with SOPs and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Molecular Biology or other relevant field; 5+ years work experience desirable.
• Experience with custom instrumentation within a workflow; comfortable learning to operate new hardware.
• Experience with automated liquid handlers.
• Experience in solid-phase oligonucleotide (DNA) synthesis (phosphoramidite and/or enzymatic).
• Experience with DNA characterization (Qubit, Nanodrop, Bioanalyzer, CE), PCR, qPCR, LCMS, NGS, DNA hybridization; preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directly support AtlasBase CMOS chip-based DNA synthesis including phosphoramidite and enzymatic workflows.
• Perform on-chip DNA synthesis runs for customers, prep reagents, handle chips, extract DNA, and perform PCR.
• Lead operation of hardware and manage limited-scale production; train RAs and Operators.
• Develop and analyze QC data to ensure samples meet quality before shipment.
• Develop and implement SOPs for production; train team to execute SOPs and optimize turnaround time.
