Job summary

AtlasBase in California seeks a Senior/Staff RD Systems Integration Scientist to lead early-stage integration of electrochemical enzymatic DNA synthesis on CMOS chips, bridging chemistry, microfluidics, software automation and hardware. You will own hands-on system integration of prototype testbeds, drive platform performance toward product-ready integration, and document processes.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree as stated; PhD or MS in a relevant field.
• Minimum 8 years of industry R&D for MS or 5 years for PhD.
• Experience leading assay-to-instrument translation and bio-hardware platforms.
• Experience in system-level troubleshooting across bio-instrumentation, fluidics, and electrochemistry.

Responsibilities

• Lead integration of CMOS chip-based enzymatic DNA synthesis workflows.
• Bridge chemistry, surface science, microfluidics, and software automation.
• Develop and optimize prototypes, document processes, and support tech transfer.
• Analyze experimental data with molecular biology and scripting tools.
• Mentor junior researchers and engineers.
