Job Description:
As the SAP S/4 Data Migration Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the data migration process from SAP to S/4HANA. You will play a critical role in ensuring that crossover activities related to all workstreams (F2S, P2P, R2R, and O2) are accurately captured holistically. The resource should be able to provide a bird's eye view of how all workstreams integrate into the new SAP S/4HANA system, in collaboration with the L'Oreal Global Team and the Global Data Migration Playbook. This role requires on-site presence in Clark, NJ, at least 3 days a week. All meetings are camera-on.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive data migration strategy and plan for SAP S/4HANA, using the Global Data Migration Playbook as a foundation.
- Lead a team of data migration specialists, coordinate activities, and validate weekly workplans to ensure discipline in activities and deliverables.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, Global Data Team, Application PMs, and external partners (Syniti) to gather requirements and define data mapping rules.
- Design data migration scripts, programs, and tools to extract, transform, and load data from legacy systems into SAP S/4HANA and applications.
- Perform data profiling, cleansing, and validation to ensure data quality and integrity, establishing governance processes for data activities.
- Monitor migration progress with KPI reporting, identify issues, communicate observations, and implement corrective actions to stay on schedule and within budget.
- Conduct testing and validation of migrated data in partnership with the Global Team and Business Owners.
- Make recommendations to improve the Global data migration playbook, tools, and processes.
- Coordinate with other project workstream teams to ensure smooth data migration.
- Support testing phases and engage in defect management and hypercare activities to resolve data issues.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master's preferred.
- 10+ years of experience leading data migration projects, preferably SAP.
- Experience with Syniti data migration tools and other SAP data migration solutions (BODS, MDG, etc.).
- Deep knowledge of SAP data migration tools, methodologies, and best practices.
- Understanding of SAP S/4HANA data structures and MDM based on TIBCO EBX.
- Proficiency in SAP Data Services, Power BI / Looker, APIs, or other ETL tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; fluent in English; French a plus.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- SAP data migration certification is desirable.
- Willingness to travel to client location at least 3 days a week, depending on project phase.

- Mentor junior team members to develop a high-performing team.
- Ensure all meetings have a clear agenda, decision makers, and documented minutes.
