Job summary

Zions Bancorporation, N.A. invites applications for an Associate in the Syndicated and Leveraged Finance Group to join our Los Angeles office (El Segundo).

The role focuses on originating and executing debt capital raising transactions, drafting pitch books, and building financial models, with a strong emphasis on relationship management and market analysis. In-office, 40 hours/week, base salary $117,000–$150,000 plus discretionary bonus.

Qualifications

• 4 years of relevant experience (education plus experience considered)
• Prior experience in Investment Banking, Private Credit, or Commercial Banking is required
• MBA, CFA, and/or formal credit training is a plus
• Must obtain FINRA licenses (Series 79 or grandfathered Series 7 and Series 63) within 90 days

Responsibilities

• Assist senior members with originating and executing debt capital-raising transactions for syndicated financings
• Draft pitch books for bank clients and propose tailored debt solutions
• Prepare confidential information memoranda and lender presentations with financial outlook analyses
• Build and maintain financial models including cash flow and covenant testing
• Support negotiation of legal documents (fee letters, NDAs, term sheets, credit agreements)
• Review transactions and help develop market comparables and identify investors
• Prepare internal memoranda to support syndicated transactions
• Maintain relationships with investors and manage internal lender database
• Attend meetings with borrowers and lenders and coordinate follow-up activities
• Support development, oversight, and training of junior staff
• Travel may be required
• Perform other duties as assigned
