Job summary

Zions Bancorporation, N.A. in Los Angeles (El Segundo), California, seeks an Associate within the Syndicated and Leveraged Finance Group to originate and execute debt capital raising transactions for syndicated financings.

You will draft pitch books, prepare confidential information memoranda and lender presentations, build financial models, and support negotiation of credit agreements. Travel may be required; FINRA licenses and advanced credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, accounting or related field.
• 4+ years of relevant experience (investment banking, private credit or commercial banking).
• MBA, CFA or formal credit training is a plus.
• FINRA licenses Series 79 (or Series 7 grandfathered) and Series 63 within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior members with originating and executing debt capital raising transactions for syndicated financings.
• Draft pitch books for bank clients and propose tailored debt solutions.
• Prepare confidential information memoranda and lender presentations with financial analysis.
• Build and maintain financial models, including cash flow and covenant modeling.
• Review transactions and develop market comparables; identify potential investors.
• Prepare internal memoranda to support syndicated transactions.
• Maintain relationships with investors and manage internal databases.
• Attend off-site meetings with borrowers and lenders; coordinate follow-up.
• Assist in training junior staff.
• Travel may be required.
