Operating System: UNIX Sun OS 10 and Linux.

Database: Sybase and Oracle 10g.

Other: Sybase Replication Server.

Responsibilities

• Installation and configuration of ASE server.
• Login/User creation and authentication.
• Creation and maintain database.
• Handling day-to-day data servers and database issues in production environment like log segment, temporary database getting filled up, blocking of processes, database performance etc.
• Database maintenance operations (DBCC, Reindex, Reorg, Update Statistics).
• Fixing autosys job failures.
• Performance and tuning.
• Providing support to business users and application users.
• Handling basic IQ server related issues.
• Basic DB2 instance related issues.
• Handling user's requests through remedy tickets and escalating on time.
• Installation and configure replication server.
  • Creation of replication definition and subscription.
• Scheduling/creating autosys jobs through webpage and command line.
  • Setup new/modify existing autosys job.
• Installation of Oracle 10g on RedHat Linux servers.
• Secondary DBA support for Oracle servers.
