Job Description

Sworn Police Officer in North Carolina

Full Time

Weekends, Weekdays

Pay Rate: $32.00 per hour

Responsibilities include: Sworn Police Officer, Crowd Management, Access Control, Patrol, Emergency Response, Campus Police, School Resource Officers

We are looking for highly motivated applicants who meet all state training requirements mandated by the North Carolina Justice Academy. Candidates with the necessary education, skills, drive, and passion to build a career in law enforcement will find this agency provides the resources, skills, and partnerships for growth. Allied Universal Special Police offers multiple contracts across the state with job security and diverse policing experiences.

As a Sworn Police Officer, you will serve clients such as Charlotte Regional Convention Center, NASCAR Hall of Fame, Queen City Quarter, Central Piedmont Community College, and Urban Park Patrol in Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities
  • Provide police services, including safety procedures and emergency response activities
  • Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around schools and perimeter
Minimum Requirements
  • At least 21 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Possess or can obtain a valid state driver’s license; be a US citizen for the applying state
  • Effective written and oral communication skills; professional interpersonal skills
  • Certified (sworn) police officer, BLET Certificate, or state Law Enforcement Certification
  • Successful background investigation and drug screening
  • Submit to SBI polygraph if in probationary status
  • Honorable discharge from military (if applicable)
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Intermediate computer skills for wireless technology
  • Ability to de-escalate crisis situations using state-approved tactics
  • Perform law enforcement duties: patrolling, issuing citations, conducting investigations, responding to medical calls, preserving evidence, making arrests
  • Attend training and maintain proficiency with firearms
  • Work in various environments, lift/carry up to 40 pounds, climb stairs or ladders, stand/walk for long periods
