Integrated Power Services (IPS) in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Switchgear Technician to test, repair, recondition, and retrofit switchgear to PEARL standards. This role requires a self-motivated, detail-oriented team member who can learn quickly and work safely in a demanding environment.

You will read and interpret technical documents, operate PPE, pass respirator tests, maintain a valid driver’s license, and contribute to a culture of safety and accountability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Mechanical aptitude and safe-work practices essential.
• Ability to read, interpret, and modify documents; PPE use required.

Responsibilities

• Test, repair, recondition, recertify, remanufacture, and retrofit switchgear services.
• Meet or exceed PEARL standards.
