Forgent Power Solutions, based in Dayton, MN, seeks a Switchgear Assembler to build large-scale panels for low and medium voltage. You will work with blueprints, read schematics, and use hand and power tools to assemble subassemblies, lifting up to 50 lbs, with options on first or second shift. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components and subassemblies per blueprints and instructions.

• Measure and inspect completed assemblies for quality.
• Identify, report and document issues in the assembly process.
• Maintain records of production quantities and time for completion.

Job Summary

As a Switchgear Assembler, you'll be working with wires and assembling paneling for low voltage and medium voltage large scale panels. The Switchgear Assembler position requires the ability to work with these large panels, lift up to 50 lbs., and stand/walk/move for the entire shift. Experience in mechanical assembly, strong attention to detail, ability to use hand and power tools, and the ability to read blueprints/schematics will be very important in this role.

Schedule Options

• 1st Shift: Monday to Thursday 5:00am-3:30pm
• 2nd Shift: Monday to Thursday 3:45pm-2:15am

Pay

• $23.00-$25.33/hour, based on experience
• Weekly paychecks every Friday

Location and Work Environment

• Champlin, MN facility - Low voltage electrical assembly
• Dayton, MN facility - Medium voltage electrical assembly
• Clean working environment
• Option to wear one earbud on the production floor

• Use hand tools, power tools, rivet guns, and other equipment to perform assembly tasks

• Maintain accurate records of production quantities and time for completion

Skills and Qualifications

• 0-3 years of previous mechanical assembly experience OR a related field
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• High school diploma OR equivalent (required)
