Job summary

Flex is seeking a Switchgear Assembler in Fontana, CA to assemble switchgear cabinets according to blueprints and work instructions, using a variety of power tools to complete mechanical assemblies. You will report to the Production Manager and perform quality checks, identify defects, and maintain tools and inventory.

Requires 2–4 years of assembly experience, a high school diploma, and experience operating powered equipment such as forklifts, cranes, or scissor lifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of experience in assembly or manufacturing.
• Experience operating powered equipment (forklift, reach truck, scissors lift, overhead crane, etc.).
• Ability to read blueprints and follow diagrams and instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Safety-conscious and able to use PPE on the production floor.

Responsibilities

• Review blueprints, diagrams, and procedures to complete assemblies for switchgear cabinets.
• Mechanical assembly of components for switchgear cabinets.
• Use power tools and hand tools to perform tasks.
• Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Identify product defects and report them accordingly.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies, tools, and parts.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
