Job summary

STJ St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon, WV seeks a Telecommunication Operator to operate telecommunication equipment and provide hospital-wide communication services.

You will manage incoming calls, page emergencies, monitor alarms, relay messages, and support patient care areas, physicians, and departments. The role demands clear written and verbal communication, calmness during emergencies, and reliable multitasking in a standard office setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to operate multi-line phone systems and basic office equipment.

• Receives incoming calls and connects them as requested.
• Monitors alarms such as fire, emergency, security, and telecommunications equipment.

• Documents required information in appropriate logs.
