Job summary

Eaton Corporation in El Paso, TX is seeking an electrical controls professional to develop complex drawings and bill of materials for switchboard projects. You will collaborate with plant and field engineers to interpret applications and ensure adherence to specifications, while guiding Electrical Designers with sketches and directions.

The role involves selecting components, creating BOMs, and developing PLC/HMI software for Automatic Power Transfer.

Qualifications

2-year technical degree or equivalent military training.
Minimum 1 year of controls experience in power distribution or 2 years in other applications.
Relocation not offered; candidates within 50 miles of El Paso, TX or Sumter, SC considered.

Responsibilities

Develop complex drawings and bills‑of‑materials based on established switchboard designs.
Consult with plant and field sales engineers to interpret and define new equipment applications, following customer and internal specifications for project implementation.
Provide sketches, mark‑ups, and directions to Electrical Designers to develop project drawings.
Select components and create bill of materials.
Create, modify, test, and deploy software for PLCs, ATC-900, DTSC-200A, and HMI for Automatic Power Transfer applications.
Prepare customer submittals, Sequence of Operation (SOO), and test procedures.
Perform factory testing and debugging of switchboard control systems, including troubleshooting wiring and safety circuits.
Support field start-ups if required.
