Job summary

Eaton’s Electrical sector, Commercial Products and Assemblies division seeks a Divisional Switchboard Chief Engineer for Panelboard & Switchboards. This role may be remote in the US but is preferred in Sumter, SC; El Paso, TX; Morrisville, NC; or Smyrna, GA. Travel 10–25% and relocation to Sumter SC are possible.

The Chief Engineer is the technical SME, driving product strategy, standards compliance, and cross‑functional collaboration to deliver next‑gen products on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Experience designing power distribution equipment to UL standards (UL50, UL67, UL891).
• Proficiency with engineering software tools such as AutoCAD and Enovia.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical subject matter expert for the product line across the CPA group.
• Define strategic direction and priorities, and lead cross‑site teams to meet objectives.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external suppliers to drive project completion.
