Job summary

Aria Networks, Inc. is seeking a Switch Software Engineer to own the full software stack for data center Ethernet switch platforms, from ASIC SDK integration to control plane protocol implementation.

The role covers Linux-based NOS and Aria's cluster control plane, enabling high-scale production deployments. Responsibilities include ASIC SDK integrations, data plane optimization (L2/L3, ECMP, VXLAN, RDMA/RoCE), and control plane development (BGP, OSPF).

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering with a focus on networking and switching.
• Hands-on experience programming datacenter switching ASICs via SAI or native SDKs.
• Deep working knowledge of L2/L3 protocols (BGP, OSPF, ECMP, VXLAN, RDMA/RoCE).
• Proficiency in C/C++ for systems and data plane development; Python for tooling and test.
• Experience with Linux-based NOS such as SONiC/ONL or similar.
• Strong debugging skills across hardware/software boundaries and SDK tracing.
• Ability to take networking software features from design through production at scale.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ASIC SDK integrations for Broadcom switching silicon.
• Implement and optimize data plane features including L2/L3 forwarding, ECMP, VXLAN, and RDMA/RoCE support.
• Own control plane protocol development and integration (BGP, OSPF, Aria extensions).
• Drive platform bring-up for new switch hardware with hardware/ASIC teams.
• Architect and implement features within a Linux-based NOS targeting production deployments.
• Debug and resolve system-level issues across hardware, firmware, and software.
• Define interfaces between the NOS and Aria Cluster Software control plane.
• Contribute to design reviews, specs, and test infrastructure for switch software features.
