Job summary

Honor Plastics & Molding is seeking an experienced machinist with strong Mastercam programming skills and expertise in 4- and 5-axis operations to support production. The role involves setting up CNC lathes including Live Tool Lathe operations, creating setup instructions, and ensuring tight tolerances for small parts.

Responsibilities include maintaining on-time deliveries, quality standards, and ISO compliance while coordinating with purchasing, assembly, and QC to move jobs through

Qualifications

• 5+ years Mastercam programming (X9)
• Extensive experience programming 4-axis, 5-axis, and 3-D contour precision parts
• Ability to program, setup, and initiate new production runs through FAI (5+ years)
• In-depth knowledge of materials and tool selection for proper application
• In-depth knowledge of setup techniques to ensure optimum quality and productivity through the manufacturing process
• Mastery of working with small parts (fits in the palm)
• Management ability and capability to train other machinists to set up and run production parts

Responsibilities

• Maintain on-time deliveries for all jobs in production
• Maintain quality control procedures
• Promote ISO and/or certified quality standards
• Coordinate with purchasing, assembly, & QC to move jobs through production workflow
• Make machine & tool adjustments to maintain part conformance
• Design & mill fixtures for production runs
• Create detailed setup and work instructions
• Clean & maintain machines and related equipment
