Job summary

Meador Manufacturing in Walton Hills, OH, a family-owned precision CNC shop, is seeking an experienced CNC Swiss Programmer to drive excellence on Citizen A20 machines and related equipment.

In this role you will program, set up, and optimize Swiss lathes for high-precision parts, interpret drawings, select tooling, run tests, and collaborate with machinists, QC, and engineering to continually improve processes. Strong Citizen experience and G-code skills required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience programming and setting up CNC Swiss lathes (Citizen experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of G-code and precision manufacturing principles.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and optimize CNC Swiss lathes (Citizen focus) for high-precision parts.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specs to develop efficient G-code programs (CAM experience is a plus).
• Select tooling, perform machine setups, and adjust offsets for optimal production.
• Troubleshoot machining issues, run test parts, and ensure tight tolerances and quality.
• Collaborate with machinists, quality control, and engineering to improve processes.
• Maintain documentation including programs, setup sheets, and tool lists.

We’re looking for an experienced CNC Swiss Programmer to join our growing team and help drive precision manufacturing excellence using our Citizen A20 Swiss Lathes and related equipment.

What You’ll Do:

• Program, set up, and optimize CNC Swiss lathes (strong focus on Citizen machines) for complex, high-precision parts.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to develop efficient G-code programs (CAM software experience a plus).
• Select tooling, perform machine setups, and make offsets/adjustments for optimal production.
• Troubleshoot machining issues, run test parts, and ensure tight tolerances and superior quality.
• Collaborate with machinists, quality control, and engineering teams to continuously improve processes.
• Maintain documentation including programs, setup sheets, and tool lists.
