Job summary

Norwood Medical in Dayton, OH is seeking dependable CNC Swiss Machine Operators for a weekend night shift (Friday–Sunday, 5:00 p.m.–5:30 a.m.). You will operate CNC Swiss turning machines to produce precision medical components, load materials, perform in-process inspections, and maintain production records.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or CNC machining preferred; Swiss machining experience is a plus, but training is available for motivated individuals.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Swiss turning machines to manufacture precision medical components.
• Load raw materials and unload finished parts while monitoring machine performance.
• Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, and other inspection tools.
• Make tool offsets and minor machine adjustments to maintain tight tolerances.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
• Perform visual inspections to identify cosmetic or dimensional defects.
• Maintain accurate production, inspection, and quality records.

When You'll Work

• Weekend Night Shift: Friday, Saturday & Sunday | 5:00 p.m. – 5:30 a.m.

What You Will Do

• Operate CNC Swiss turning machines to manufacture precision medical components.
• Load raw materials and unload finished parts while monitoring machine performance throughout the production run.
• Perform in‑process inspections using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, and other inspection tools.
• Make tool offsets and minor machine adjustments to maintain tight dimensional tolerances.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
• Perform visual inspections to identify cosmetic or dimensional defects.
