Job summary

H. T. PROF Group in New Lisbon, Wisconsin is seeking a Swiss CNC Machinist – Setup, Programming & Operation for direct hire.

The role requires hands-on multi-axis Swiss machine work, programming refinement, and precise metrology to ensure high‑quality parts. You will work on first or second shifts, review and adjust programs, set up machines from scratch, and collaborate with maintenance to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

2+ years of verifiable experience setting up, operating, and optimizing Swiss CNC machines.
Ability to read mechanical blueprints and use precision metrology tools for first-article and in-process inspection.
Proven reliable attendance, safety-first habits, and pride in craftsmanship.
Willingness to work 8‑hour first shift or 10‑hour second shift, independently and with high productivity.

Responsibilities

Perform intricate, multi-axis Swiss CNC setups from scratch for high-precision runs.
Review and fine-tune machine programming to maximize throughput and tool life.
Manage end-to-end manufacturing cycles from bar-feeder alignment to finished part extraction.
Conduct rigorous quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and optical gauges to ensure 100% drawing compliance.
Diagnose mechanical faults and coordinate with maintenance to minimize downtime.
Maintain a safe, organized work zone following lean manufacturing principles.
