Velosity in Brooklyn Park, MN is seeking a Swiss Machinist II for our 1st shift to set up and operate Swiss machines per work instructions. You’ll monitor quality, maintain records, and work with a team on site.

The role requires 2+ years in medical device manufacturing, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with G/M code. It offers a comprehensive benefits package, PTO, holidays, 401(k) with match, and a 5% quarterly bonus target.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in medical device or component manufacturing.
• Able to read English and perform shop math.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to use measuring instruments such as scales, calipers, dial indicators.

Responsibilities

• Follow job traveler standard rates and report hourly to meet production rate and scrap targets.
• Assist level 1 machinist as needed to ensure quality and customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of completed parts and scrap in ERP and on paper.
• Document shift-to-shift transfers to maintain continuity between shifts.
• Report machine, material and quality concerns to leads/supervisors.
• Operate Swiss machines up to 9 axes per manufacturer guidelines and SOPs.
