Job summary

HORST Engineering is seeking a CNC Machining professional for its East Hartford, CT plant. The role focuses on setting up and operating Swiss Turning machines (Citizen L20, A20, A32, M32, M32Y) to produce precision components.

You will work with blueprints and operation sheets, ensuring parts meet quality requirements. Position includes 1st/2nd shift with a 15% differential on 2nd shift and 100% in-office work at the East Hartford facility.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 years of set-up experience in CNC machining.
• Experience with aerospace components or close tolerance parts preferred.
• Able to read operation sheets, blueprints and SPC documentation.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate Swiss Turning machines and ensure quality parts meet specs.
• Work from blueprints and operation sheets, perform complex set-ups as needed.
• Train and assist other operators and report machining problems promptly.
