Job summary

Barnes Aerospace seeks a Unit Team Lead to supervise swing shift, provide day-to-day leadership, hands-on support to meet production goals, safety standards and quality expectations, and act as primary troubleshooter.

You will coordinate workflow, assist with scheduling, mentor staff, drive process improvements, escalate issues to management, and promote safety, teamwork and accountability across the department.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in aerospace or high-precision manufacturing
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
• Ability to remain flexible and adapt to changing priorities
• Must be a self-starter with sound judgement and initiative

Responsibilities

• Plan, anticipate issues and manage priorities for the work area to maintain production efficiency.
• Maintain accountability and commitment for the area of responsibility.
• Provide supervisor coverage and support, including meetings and supervising staff.
• Handle day-to-day operations and act as point of contact for troubleshooting and employee concerns.
• Train employees on processes, promote safety compliance and address safety concerns.
• Collaborate with all levels of employees and management.
• This position is a working team lead.
