Job summary

Northwest Hardwoods is hiring a General Laborer / Sawmill Cleanup in Eugene, OR. Shift is Swing/2nd shift, Mon-Thu 1:30pm–12:00am with OT. Competitive wages start at $22.53 per hour plus $1 shift differential. Benefits include medical, dental, prescription and vision coverage, pre-tax HSA, and 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Must be safety conscious and able to work well in a team.
• Excellent attendance is required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able to work at a fast pace and pay close attention to detail.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check required.
• Candidates must be able to lift 50+ pounds.
• Personal protective equipment must be worn at all times.

Responsibilities

• Work safely and follow NWH safety rules.
• Possess ability to perform Lockout/Tagout within 90 days.
• Be self-directed and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
• Clean up sawmill debris using hand tools and wheelbarrows.
• Maintain a clean working environment on the production floor.
• Make quick decisions with good hand-eye coordination.
• Cross training in other positions and teamwork are essential.
