Job summary

Kelly Services is hiring a Temporary Production Operator II in Redwood City, CA. The role operates manufacturing equipment to convert raw materials into finished products, performs quality checks, and maintains production and inventory records.

The position requires basic blueprint reading, documentation accuracy, and the ability to troubleshoot production issues while following established procedures. Shift is swing, with a 2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m. schedule, on-site.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of manufacturing/production experience.
• Experience with manufacturing equipment preferred.
• Able to read blueprints, layouts, schematics, and written instructions.
• Capable of completing production records and inventory documentation accurately.
• Detail-oriented and committed to product quality.
• Able to identify problems, troubleshoot issues, and follow procedures.
• Independent and as part of a production team.
• Vocational training or equivalent hands-on experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to manufacture products from raw materials into finished goods.
• Monitor production processes and maintain safe, efficient operations.
• Track raw-material usage and maintain inventory records.
• Complete production records, data sheets, and required documentation.
• Perform in-process quality tests (hardness, weight, pH, moisture).
• Identify equipment malfunctions and product deficiencies.
• Troubleshoot production issues and adjust for quality/output.
• Follow blueprints, layouts, schematics, and procedures.
• Maintain records of orders, work, materials, and inventory levels.
• Coordinate workload, staffing, equipment capacity, and inventory requirements.
• Prepare and monitor production schedules with planning, production, and maintenance teams.
• Request materials and coordinate delivery dates as needed.
• Recognize when deviations from procedures are needed and escalate.
