Job summary

Staker Parson Companies, a CRH company, seeks a skilled heavy equipment mechanic to repair and maintain construction equipment including trucks, bulldozers, excavators, and conveyors at multiple Utah locations. Swing shift with some weekends and holidays; must have own tools and a valid driver's license.

You will troubleshoot, dismantle parts, perform preventative maintenance, order parts, and keep a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a skilled automotive mechanic with heavy-duty construction equipment.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
Must have a current, valid driver's license.
Ability to work well with others in a team setting.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoots problems, making economical and durable repairs.
Dismantles devices to access and remove defective parts.
Maintains and repairs heavy equipment, trucks, shop, and non-mobile equipment.
Performs maintenance: oil changes, greasing, fluids, filters, PM schedules; repairs electrical and hydraulic systems.
Orders parts and supplies; maintains purchase orders and invoices.
Starts devices to test performance and welds broken parts.
