Job summary

The role requires reading and applying HPVA/ANSI standards, reporting in D365, printing load tickets, and maintaining accurate counts.

Qualifications

• Three to six months of experience handling hardwood veneer preferred.
• Previous experience grading hardwood veneer or plywood preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Experience with D365 or a similar system is a plus.
• Ability and willingness to learn applicable veneer grading standards and processes.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and apply veneer grading standards (HPVA/ANSI and proprietary).
• Grade and separate veneers and Import Core/Lauan according to grade requirements.
• Report grading orders in D365 and print veneer tickets.
• Identify tight and loose sides of veneer grain and label loads accordingly.
• Maintain accurate running and total veneer counts during grading.
• Support inventory counts and address discrepancies as needed.
• Work safely in warehouse with forklift and mobile-equipment traffic.
• Assist in other department duties as needed and support safety, quality, and production goals.
