Federal Way Public Schools is seeking an Elementary School Custodian to support Mark Twain, Wildwood, and Meredith Hill Elementary. The role involves cleaning classrooms, lavatories, gymnasiums, cafeteria areas, and outdoor spaces, and ensuring secure access and safe conditions.

The position requires at least 6 months custodial experience, ability to follow district procedures, physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs, and a criminal background clearance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months custodial experience.
• Criminal background clearance required.
• Current Grade IV boiler license if the building uses boilers.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and district guidelines.
• Clear communication with principal and staff.
• Maintain attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned classrooms, vacuum, dust, mop and wipe surfaces daily.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, lockers and common areas daily.
• Maintain gym, lunchroom, and cafeteria cleanliness and setup.
• Secure doors and windows at designated times.
• Assist with outside area upkeep and window washing.
• Operate heating equipment as instructed.
