Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field teams on a Southern Cal Main project. You will supervise subcontractors, manage safety, schedule, and costs to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with at least four years of related experience, strong leadership, and the ability to read drawings and contract documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of four years' related experience training and/or experience.
• Knowledge of building construction, means and methods, scheduling and cost control procedures, general contract, general conditions, subcontract documents, drawings and specifications, including Microsoft Office Suite and proficiency in EH&S applications.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control and trade staffing levels.
• Oversee work among assigned trades to promote coordinated project operations and resolve issues.
• Manage the site safety program and ensure subcontractor compliance with Turner standards and safety rules.
• Supervise and develop Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and Interns.
• Create schedules and determine sequencing of work; implement recovery strategies.
• Communicate with owners and architects/engineers on field issues; resolve them.
