Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year experience with young adult treatment or care settings preferred; CPR/First Aid certification required or willing to obtain.
• Knowledge of behavioral/psychological theory and treatment approaches for young adult psychopathology; ability to manage medications.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the management of clients’ environment and medications.
• Supervise, monitor, and participate in programmatic activities to ensure consistent therapeutic effect; understand level system, rules, terminology, and group dynamics.
• Apply behavioral management techniques; monitor for contraband during searches to ensure safety.
• Transport clients (optional).
• Assist and encourage clients in completing assignments.
• Participate in staffing/meetings to communicate client progress.
• Carry out activities related to recreational and client programs as assigned by the Program Manager.
• Carry out other duties to meet program needs.
• Assist clients in shopping, recreation planning, and preparation.
• Keep day-to-day progress notes for clinical staff.
• Assist clients in learning life skills.
