Job summary

Seaboard Foods is seeking a Department Team Leader at our Carroll, IA location. You will supervise nursery staff, care for swine, and support the manager in daily operations.

You will train employees, maintain records, and ensure timely reporting while adhering to safety and biosecurity standards. This hands-on role requires leadership and reliable teamwork in a livestock environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (A.A) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year related experience.
• Must be proficient in English language, reading and writing.
• Ability to supervise a team and train staff in daily processes.

Responsibilities

• Attend and care for swine in the nursery department under manager direction.
• Supervise and schedule groups of employees when the supervisor is absent.
• Maintain accurate records and reports of animals, employees, and supplies.
• Help ensure weekly and daily reports are submitted on time.
• Follow safety procedures and medication/vaccination protocols.
• Maintain alarm systems and respond to emergencies.
